This place is a hidden Jewel. It's unbelievable that there are about 6 miles of hiking trails right in the middle of the city. They have trails that are accessible to anyone including handicap accessible trails. They also have a nice nature themed play area for children. There are other trails that approach the moderate level. Admission is free if you are resident of the city of Worcester.
This 400 acre wildlife reserve is conveniently located just minutes from anywhere in the city. It is easy to get to. It has multiple entry points. The trails are well marked. Lots of flora and fauna to observe. A great escape from the hubbub of city life. Excellent for cardio workout or liesurely stroll. The people you meet on the trails are generally friendly family oriented folk (not scary).
I grew up playing in the woods and fields and know the like the back of my hand. Nice to see it becoming a popular conservation area.
Hiking Broad Meadow Brook feels like going on an adventure in your own backyard.
