Great place to drive up to on a beautiful day! We ordered 1 1/4 pound steamed lobster and a lobster roll. Steamed lobster was perfect and so tender! Literally swimming a few mins ago! Dunked it in buttery perfection! Definitely get a steamed lobster. Lobster roll was the simplest one we have had. Burger bun , not toasted or buttered. Piled with a generous portion of lobster meat, lettuce, mayo. It was actually amazing. Drizzled with a little butter and perfection! I just wish it was a normal toasted buttered lobster roll! It would have been top 3 easily.

Fun adventure hubby got lobster, which he loved.. he thought clam chowder did not have flavor. I had my first swordfish, thinner than I thought it would be, but moist and great flavor. I loved sitting on the upper deck to see all beauty of Maine.
Really amazing experience for an out of towner and for my first Lobster Pound experience. We ordered the Lobster Roll, Clam Chowder, Haddock Sandwich, and Corn. The only thing I would suggest is that the corn was over boiled. Also, while the Lobster Roll was great, I think it was a rookie mistake not to do as the locals were doing and order a whole lobster and steamed clams. This place is BYOB so please bring a bottle/box of wine or six pack. The ambience is great, view is superb, and I would highly recommend Young’s Lobster Pound.
Lobsters don't get any fresher than this. Sit and eat (BYOB) while you watch the lobstermen unload their boats. Your lobster was crawling the bottom just hours ago. \Rustic\ but memorable and fun!
This place has food that we rated as fair. The lobsters are boiled not steamed. Steamers and mussels are good. Clam chowder and lobster chowder are on the low side of fair. Both are watery and don’t have the usual thickness and full flavor that clam or lobster chowder should have. Nice guys cooking. If you are looking for a good 30.00 meal I suggest looking elsewhere. This place will do in a pinch but for the price it isn’t a place to brag about.
