Beautiful church, well worth the stop if you’re just passing through. The way the sun shone through the stained glass was like the sun streaming through the trees in the forest that is the cathedral. The mosaic behind the altar is really stunning as well. It’s massively tall, so you can stand there and marvel at its beauty and wonder how long it took for them to put it all together. I loved the plants in the narthex as well, the olive tree was a very nice touch. Unique, too, as I’ve never seen it in any parish I’ve been to. Cheers.

My favorite place to Worship! Parishioners are very friendly and Monsignor Polando gives an amazing homily and is warm and in the spirit of the Lord!

They had a beautiful service for my friend Richard. Singing was beautiful. Stained glass windows beautiful. Message was from the Bible. Pews were taped off to use every other. Masks were worn. Communion gave a wafer and did not do the drink. I'm not a Catholic but everything was great.

St Columba is the Regional Head Church of all of the Roman Catholic churches around. I don't know about Byzantine Catholic, etc and I'm probably not using the correct wording but you get the idea.....anyway, it overlooks downtown Youngstown and is a large sand-colored building with a larger than life St. Columba in front. The inside 9f tge church is majestic, huge, beautifully and tastefully ornate, and serves as an awesome tribute to God. I love the peacefulness and good will here, and the choir usually sound like angels. There are stained glass windows reflecting the colored panes of glass when the sun is shining, beautiful tiny inlaid gold tiles that catch and reflect the light. The ceilings are, of course, cathedral and those very high ceilings and the reflections of the outside and inside lights can make you feel the greatness and love of God!!!
