I stayed here before in the emergency shelter. I was working just a mile away at Target and was dismissed onto the street for arriving less than an hour past Curfew. It didn't matter that I let staff know in advance that I was working a late shift. It hurt so much that I was so close to getting back on my feet then suddenly sleeping on the sidewalk. And it didn't matter that I was working and was well behaved. It was Ralph who dismissed me. He wasn't kind at all and blamed me for being late and did not want any excuses. Hello! I was down the street at work and called twice. Is that an excuse? This made life a lot more challenging. The point is....this place has got issues and needs to change. Living out on the sidewalk is brutal. There are people who will take advantage of youth who desperately want warm food and sleep. And if you don't have something they want, they dump you on the street.
