There's always a long line here and when it's slightly warm outside, it's uncomfortably hot in here!!! However, the food makes up for it. I love their Chile Verde and their Quesadilla is huge and delicious. Everything here is great. You get in line and look through the glass and order what you want. They prepare it and you wait for it. It's not as quick as you'd think but I don't mind waiting since you can munch on a variety of salsas while you sit and wait for them to bring you your food. They've won awards for their awesome salsas and I do think they are all very good. They have a few fresh juices to choose from as well. When I want hot, fresh and cheap authentic Mexican food, I go to Pancho Villa! I've even jumped off Bart on my way home just to have a quick bite.

I've been coming here about once a week for 35 years, since I lived in the Mission in the 1980s. I've lived in the East Bay for 20 years and still come back to Pancho Villa in my old hood for their classic super burritos, happy hour tacos and when in a celebratory mood, the hot spicy prawns dinner plate. No matter what time of day, there's usually a line, but the dozen team members behind the counter work fast, and the food comes quickly and tastes great every time.
Best carnitas in the world! So good! The salsa it off the hook! Menudo is the shiiitttttt! So delicious! Everyone is so friendly. It feels like home.
Got the carne asada super burrito on fast bites delivery and it was really tasty the salsa was really mild so I needed it spiced up a bit and the side of sour cream helped amp up the flavor. Have since ordered their burritos for delivery multiple times and it's always tasty. I just wish when I ordered salsa it isn't the pico de gallo and there's a way to order really hot salsa for those of us who like heat
This place has been one of my favorite restaurant for this style of food. Been coming here since I can remember. Great friendly service.
