I brought 2 pairs of Manolo Blahnik pumps here to get the soles protected. They came out beautifully done! The owner is thoughtful for your shoes unlike many other places in NY. It's important for me to have service that cares about my shoes as much as I do for them. Very happy with my pumps & I highly recommend this place!

I have been going to Advance Shoe Repair for many years now and I can tell you that you will never find a better artisan than Josif. He is a true artist. He has breathed new life into many shoes and bags of mine. I had a Coach bag that I sent to Coach to fix and they did nothing. I brought it to Josif and it is like new. Josif is great and I truly appreciate his artistry and professionalism.
These guys are amazing. If you guys are looking for quality service and professionalism I highly recommend this place.
I came to Advance Shoe Repair because of all of the wonderful reviews, but I was extraordinarily disappointed. I bought my very expensive Stuart Weitzman shoes and a Milly purse in. I needed completely new insoles in the boots and the straps on the purse glued or sewn back together. They said they had worked with the SW shoes before and that I shouldn't worry. They took a week to make the repair, and when I went to pick both items up, they hadn't glued the insoles to the shoes. Two new insoles were just thrown in the boots (not even into place). There was no way I could slip my feet into the boots without them slipping and sliding around. There was really no need to leave the shoes there for a week, because they quite literally did nothing to them. I pulled the insole out and asked if they could glue them in place. They glued them for me in 3 minutes in an extremely sloppy fashion, so now the insoles are bunched up and uncomfortable to walk on. I then checked out the straps on my purse, and the glue they used didn't even hold. I had to ask them to re-do part of the strap. I rarely like to give poor reviews, but there was no apology and I paid quite a bit of money for something I could have done myself by going to CVS and buying super glue and new insoles. Really wish they could have put more effort into my repairs, and I'm just hoping I don't have to return when my insoles that were sloppily glued slip or come detached.
I wish I could give 6 stars. Joseph was great and my shoes look amazing. Best shoe repair place I’ve ever used anywhere. I live on the west coast and am in NYC for a short job assignment for a couple months. I had one pair of boots I dropped off. He just happened to be close. He took some time to really look the boots over first before even talking with me about what he thought needed to be worked on. This guy is a rare and true craftsman. On my next visit home grabbed several more pairs of shoes just to have him repair them. He offered to add taps to my heels on my dress shoes for like 3 and said I should come back and replace the taps every couple months instead of wearing out the sole. I’ve never had a shoe shop educate me and try to save me money like Joseph did. I felt like I could trust him after that.
