Ray is adding more life to my worn out work shoes. Great to be able to repair and reuse instead of throw away.
This repair shop is so precious on Kauai to keep saving of “life” of shoes and bags. Without having this shop, we might have produced more rubbish of broken shoes and bags on the island. Repairing fee is affordable and it’s pretty fast service.

Fixed a beloved pair of wedge shoes. They look good as new. Friendly, fast turn around and very fair price! Will be bringing all my shoes and handbags here for fix ups.

Initially he was upbeat and kind, but I was disappointed when he did not honor the agreed upon price. I felt he held my shoes hostage until I was forced to pay the increased amount. He seemed to get some kind of satisfaction about that. I later called him about it and he agreed to refund the overcharge. When I returned to his store to get my refund he refused and just played dumb. He seemed to get even more satisfaction about that.
In Kauai for several weeks to come, my husband Bill was frustrated when the glue on his favorite Rockport sandals came loose. The following is from him: "I took them to the Shoe Repair Shop in Lihue for repair and was extremely pleased with the high quality work. Ray told me that It would take 2-3 days but he called me the very next day to inform me that they were already done. He didn’t trust the gluing, so he sewed them as well. You can’t tell that they were repaired at all. Ray is an absolute Hoot! He teased me the entire time I was there. I highly recommend the Shoe Repair Shop."
