I have been learning Kathak from Mrs. Aparna for 13 years and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Every class has been completely worth it. I have learned to love the mesmerizing grace and elegant discipline that comes with the art form. Furthermore, Mrs. Aparna has helped me find and has encouraged my passion for Kathak dance. She has always pushed me to be the best version of myself in class, on stage, and even outside of dance. Mrs. Aparna is one of the best and most passionate teachers I have ever had. She has helped me grow as a person through dance. I could not have had a better experience learning Kathak than what I have at Aparna’s Dance Academy.

I have been dancing with Mrs. Aparna for most of my life. She has taught me to love and appreciate the beautiful and graceful dance form of Kathak and she has taught me many life lessons that I will value forever. In class, Mrs. Aparna always pushes us to be the best we can be. Every year she coordinates dances for our annual Utsav, and they never fail to mesmerize me. Mrs. Aparna was been one of the most influential teachers I have ever had. She always believed in me, even when I did not believe in myself. She has taught me to be patient and has shown me that hard work does pay off. I drive 45 minutes to learn Kathak from her, and every minute of my drive is worth it. She has given me a safe place within which I have grown to be more responsible and where I was able to find my love for dance. She teaches discipline and is very passionate about teaching Kathak. I could not have asked for a better Kathak teacher than Mrs. Aparna.

Aparna Auntie has been my teacher for most of my life. As a dancer, her style and talent are unmatched. Her grace and elegance are mesmerizing, and her piece at the annual Utsav is always awe-inducing to students and spectators alike. Every one of her students, from the little kids to the adults, looks up to her and hopes to dance like her. And as a teacher, she is caring, passionate, and dedicated beyond words. The level which she makes it her personal goal to see each student succeed is the reason almost every dancer who joins the academy continues her class for many years. Her dancers know she wants us to grow, and our want to make her proud motivates and pushes us. Her dedication to us and the dance is inspiring, but her reach in our lives goes beyond just dance. The discipline she preaches is invaluable, and I cherish the many Saturday mornings I spent at this place.

I have been learning Kathak from Aparna’s Dance Academy since 2007. This dance form has become a huge component in my life. I could not have found a better teacher than Aparna Auntie to learn Kathak from. Her continuous motivation towards us has increased our dedication and perseverance. She has made learning so fun for me. Every year, I continue to see even more improvement and grace in each of my steps. Now, I am completing my Visharad level and graduating. Since a very young age, I loved to dance, but coming and learning from Aparna Auntie taught me the meaning behind each expression and movement. Aparna Auntie is a very patient teacher who has worked with me individually to make sure I master each skill. I am so glad my parents chose this academy as Aparna Auntie’s love and support will be carried throughout my future.
