COVID-19 Crisis Relief Fund Reopening is a HUGE milestone in the return to “normal” at the Aquarium, but as a nonprofit that relies on visitors for 80% of our operating budget, our road to recovery is just getting started.   While the Aquarium was closed to the public, our staff worked tirelessly to maintain our high standards of animal care. In addition to the daily requirements of food, medication, and vitamins, our animals live in complex marine conditions that require meticulous maintenance. Those costs continued to multiply over our 111-day closure, despite the fact that we were unable to make any revenue.   We’re asking our Aquarium family to consider making a donation to our COVID-19 Crisis Relief Fund in honor of our animals. Every little bit helps ensure the Aquarium, and our residents are set up for post-closure success.   We appreciate your generosity and your continued commitment to making a difference for aquatic life. This aquarium has some really beautiful sea life. Definitely a neat visit on a cold winter day. The penguins are awesome. Lots of cool Jellyfish too. It's a shorter visit but worth seeing. This is a nice attraction for all ages.

We made reservations for 10:30 today to make sure we would make the 11 show. When we first arrived, an employee had us wait to be checked in. Understandable given COVID restrictions. There were two poor families behind us that had to wait out in the cold and rain. Once checked in, we had to wait to enter due to the aquarium being at capacity. Again, understandable. The employees then allowed not one but TWO families behind us enter first because they were members. Unacceptable when we made reservations ahead of time, and paid ahead of time. The employee at the door was also very rude when I asked why they got to go ahead of us. The second family, noticing our agitation after being skipped over offered that we go in first. To which the same rude employee (gray hair greeting people at the door, I failed to get her name) very rudely said that we could not enter and that it was the rules of the aquarium that they go first. Will not be visiting again. It’s a shame because we have two small kids and would love to support local businesses.

First I had to pay for parking! I was walking in with a higher standard in mind. After being to an aquarium in myrtle beach in the past. The aquarium is just one giant pool with some seals and a bunch of fish tanks around the outside. The best part was at the end when you are able to touch the rays and sharks. NOTE: this was during COVID and might be different when they do not have such restrictions.

Good COVID-19 protocols and nice exhibits. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our experience.

Came here beginning March, 2021. Did the regular admission. Watched a sea lion show. Only improvement can think of is to physically make the aquarium bigger. Other than that, loved it. Has majestic views of ON, Canada side from here.
