My appraisal was not good at all. Terrible service. Doug did my home and just walked the house with his computer. He did not measure the areas(like the other appraiser did). And he did not take any photos of my home. My appraisal came back lower than a previous appraisal and I've had updates to my house; Such as porceline tiling and a privacy fence. I do not recommend this service. Avoid at all costs.

My appraisal experience was great! I called to get my home appraised so I could sell and the office had my appointment set within a few days and was on time to our appointment. He was very professional and extremely informative. The appointment was over in less than an hour and my realtor received the appraisal within days! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I have recommended him to everyone I know.

Doug Dixon conducted my appraisal at 349 Blake Avenue. It was the worst experience and appraisal Ive witnessed. Ive been a home owner since 2015. When I first bought my home it was a fore closure and the living square footage was 2,232 sqft. I then refinanced my home last year about 10 months ago and the appraisal was valued at 210,000.00 with a square footage of 2,232sqft. In May of this year I applied for a home equity line of credit and Navy Federal asked for a new appraisal which was fine by me since I had renovations done to the home such as, porcelain tile throughout the entire down stairs, in the bathroom upstairs and then the Master Bathroom was completely redone with wooden floor tile along with back splash that wraps around the entire wall half way up. The shower is a stand alone shower with pebble stone to the ceiling and a sliding glass door entrance. Some how Doug managed to appraise my house for only 206,000.00 and a square footage of only 2,152sqft, which is amazing considering nothing was done to the home to lose square footage. On top of that it is a cookie cutter home in the neighborhood where every other house like mine has 2,232 sqft living space. When I wrote out a disapproval notice to NavyFed and an appeal it was denied stating that he measured the interior of the home (which was never done as I walked with him throughout the house inside). Doug Dixon and his company is a sham and I would not refer them to anyone. I am still waiting on Navy Federal and their appraisal team to get a final answer and this all started back in May, It is now almost mid July. If you want to rectify this situation do the RIGHT THING and re appraise my home as it is entirely inaccurate. Thank you, p.s. feel free to call POLK COUNTY CITY HALL to get the correct information. Also was told Lawyers would get involved but yet I was a paying customer and just wanted to see why the living sq footage was inaccurately measured.
