Armando replaced a zipper that went down in the sole of my leather boot, something another shoe repair person said they weren’t confident in doing. The end result looks good, the repair is slightly noticeable on close inspection, but I suppose that’s as good as it can be without doing it painstakingly by hand into the old thread holes. He also restored the leather, as you can see below. Was dull and grayish, but now is black and shiny. Very friendly and warm. Will go here again next time I need a repair, thanks!

Armando is the best cobbler i have yet met. Talked to a half a dozen cobblers and I didn't find the answers from the others satisfying. Armando is not just a cobbler, he is an artist. He listened to what I wanted to accomplish, and not only did he get the job done, he improved on it. I am very impressed. I highly doubt I will be going to a different cobbler anytime soon. He was professional, the price very reasonable and he finished it in a couple of days.
I have to say that as soon as you see Armando you know this is a man who will get the job done with care and precision. Seriously! I had thrown a shoe that hit my theatre prop bin and Activated Charcoal had gotten on the new shoe and was I tremendously accepting that I had ruined the shoe. My partner said there was no way anyone could fix it. Luckily, Armando was born! The shoe was repaired like new--as if no ash or charcoal had never, ever even been near it. It was beautiful work and a reminder of the craftsmanship and how precious working with your hands is. It was a gift to my soul and to see his smile and face well it was well worth the whole experience and drive. He is a beautiful man. If you are looking for a craftsman, someone who will approach the work as art and respects the details no matter if it is a shoe or bag or favorite luggage. Armando is the one to go too. It is worth the drive to WESTWOOD!! I will literally be taking all my shoes there and now can fix my favorite boots from early 2000!
Had 3 pairs of nikes that were dirty - low tops and high tops - he did an amazing job and made them look brand new. I highly recommend.
