It’s too bad I have to say this, but I wanted to warn everyone. Art studio cafe on Lake Ave is a great place to relieve some stress and get a good cup of coffee. The staff are friendly and the place is nice inside. However, I did pay 50 for 2 people to take a painting class, and then had to cancel and repay it because of an error. I was only ever repaid 25. No big deal right? Well I went in to explain the mistake and the owner there was very rude and belittling. She wouldn’t even look at my bank statement showing that only 25 was ever reimbursed. Instead she said she thought I was trying to “swindle her” and that she didn’t like my tone and would call the police. I was very polite, as it wasn’t that big of a deal. She just didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. I usually don’t talk bad about businesses, especially ones I used to like. I wouldn’t even post this except for the fact she was so rude and talked to me like I was 5. 25 isn’t enough to go to court over, but I don’t make much money as is. I’m a manager at Wendy’s. I paid to have a nice night out with my partner and we enjoyed it immensely. It’s just too bad that the owner refused to even consider that perhaps she had made a mistake. If you go to this place, always save your receipts.

Art studio cafe has been the best discovery for our family! My kids participate in the children’s art class, their creativity is inspired and supported in a loving artistic and soul filling environment. We participate in all of the events at the cafe and feel at home with our family. Owner Maria Paz is not only talented but her energy, spirit, and beauty are the essence of the cafe and staff. Don’t miss out on this LW gem!
Maria's art studio is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat or hand painted custom art to fit any budget. She also conducts really fun painting classes, so don't miss a stop here if you are local or just on vacation, you will be glad you did!
