I can’t recommend the Birth Center enough. It’s such a calm, relaxing environment to give birth. The Midwives and all such warm, knowledgeable people. It was my first baby and I didn’t even need stitches thanks to them!The only thing I would do differently is coming to them sooner!

100% recommend The Birth Center! Everyone who works here are so kind and welcoming! The Midwives are very kind and personable. I had my 3rd child here and would never go back to a hospital. I had episiotomies and bad tearing with my first two hospital births and was terrified of going through that again. Amy Hill was amazing while I was pushing do everything in her power to help me stretch and I was able to deliver with only a very small tear that didn’t even require a stitch. I had a water birth and loved it! Would come back in a heartbeat!
I am so thankful for this place! I had my firstborn here and the experience was amazing. Each and every one of the staff members are so warm and kind! They are as hands on or hands off as you prefer. For someone who prefers to let life happen as naturally as possible I couldn’t ask for a better place. I was also grateful that if an emergency had happened, they were more than prepared to protect both me and my baby.
I highly recommend the Birth Center in Bloomington, from prenatal to labor and delivery to postpartum, their care of you and baby is . At prenatal appts they give you all the time you need to discuss any little or big item, during L&D I got the space to do my own thing but also tips and pointers that helped keep things moving along, when I had lost a lot of blood and fainted they took care of me medically but also spiritually (thank you Amie Hernandez), the postpartum nurses were there if you needed them but let you sleep, having Amie come to my house and check on me and do my baby's newborn screenings was SO nice, I was constantly reassured I could call their on call midwife for anything and it wasn’t a bother, Amie has listened to my concerns about my baby's fussiness and gave me ideas and referral to lactation consultant, and their care and concern for how everything is going with a new baby just made me feel so cared for and of course also their prenatal care was excellent too. I was sad to go to my 6 week postpartum visit and not be able to visit this calming, soothing place with all of its friendly staff.
I had my 4 child here and it was an AMAZING experience. I am now expecting my fifth and looking forward to have another great experience. If you want to have the natural birth experience with a team there for support this is a great place.
