I simply love this place. As a shoe maker, teacher and designer, there could not be a more suitable atmosphere. Keiko and all the members are just incredible, sharing, and enthusiastic about the craft. The students that come through are wonderful to meet, and bring such interesting stories and great energy with them. The Brooklyn Shoe Space is a true community space.

I loved the community of the class I took at Brooklyn Shoe Space (5-day intensive, now I think it's the 6 day intensive) so much that I became a member for a month. The community is super supportive and inspiring. So much to make! #Makersgonnamake Also, I love being able to say \I made it!\ when people remark on the things I make there. so fun!

An awesome place to go learn, make stuff, and hone your craft. Everyone is super friendly and wants to help you make the best leather goods possible. Just a great environment for creating and learning overall.

Creative and inclusive space to work in. I started with the 6-day intensive class where I was able to express my love of sneakers and got hooked and became a member. I then went on to learn with a sandal making class. You work at your own pace but if you ever need help someone is there and willing to help out. I intend to take the heels class in the future.

Absolutely love this place! Great place to meet like minded makers and designers. Members are sociable and helpful - Keiko is an amazing mentor, teacher, and friend. Definitely check some of the classes out, or drop by to talk to whatever members are around if you're on the fence
