It is nice to know there is a place that accepts gently used clothing. I have been bringing my donations to them for many years when I cleanse my closet space. The last time I dropped my donation a was greeted by a helper, which I really appreciated. Looking forward to doing another drop off soon.

Something is rotten in the state of St Marys. I made an appointment to have a donation pick up this week. Two large bags were clearly marked St Marys Church. Wed. morning I looked out onto my 2nd floor front porch--the bags were gone BUT no receipt was left. I called St Marys and was told to call back after 4PM when the driver would return. I was unable to call back until today, Sat., at which time I was told that #1- the bags were probably stolen (VERY UNLIKELY, much more valuable items have been left there undisturbed, including a clearly marked brand new large screen TV) and #2 -their records show that no appointment was made for a pick up at my address. I have been donating to St Marys for years but something is now clearly wrong and I will no longer aid and abet this mismanaged organization--it's Salvation Army for me from this point on.
Initially had issues with getting my clothes picked up after two appointments. But emailed the church and they were able to get my situated right away and some came to pick up the clothes the next business day. They came early and got the clothes. Their online appointment system might be wonky?
The process was super smooth for us - we left our donations in trash bags on the curb labeled for St. Mary’s in the morning and the driver called us when he arrived in the afternoon to confirm he was picking them up. We even ran down and added another bag while he was still here. He was extremely nice, friendly, and so was the person on the phone when I had called a few days before and on the day itself. I was worried because of some of the negative reviews but it was a really smooth and positive experience! We are moving overseas so are grateful that our stuff is being put to good use.
Giving a donation should never be so stressful. bags of childrens clothes (coats and boats). Driver refuse to give me time to bring them downstairs. They only give you 5mins notice not 15-30mins.
