We rented a vrbo rental through Cape Charles Vacation Rentals. It was the Huntington Farm, a few minutes outside of Cape Charles. It was amazing and pretty much as advertised. Chuck (and Kathy) were great to work with before our trip and also during. There was a water leak in the upstairs master bathroom shower, that dripped into the main downstairs hallway. Luckily, it was our 2nd to last day. Chuck came out within a couple hours and determined it wasn't a huge problem, but we didn't use that shower after that. Chuck seemed like a good guy and on top of things. As for the property, it was perfect for our family, which included a 100-lb lab and four elementary school-age kiddos. It is an OLD home, but that added to the charm. The graveyard in the backyard seemed a little off-putting at first, but kinda added to the legacy & historical feel. Loved the: foosball table; large, separate spaces to congregate; fun bunkbed bedroom for little kiddos; stocked kitchen; large family room; inviting covered porch; and water access. What a great house!! This was our 4th time staying here & it was just as perfect & magical as it was the first time we stayed! You truly feel right at home and have every amenity you can think of, especially the kitchen that has every tool imaginable !! They left nothing out, & we have some serious cooks in our family!!! If you want a fun & relaxing vacation with the most breathtaking sunsets ever, this is the place!!! This is what keeps us coming back! For a couple of days out of the year you are transformed into another world of beauty, peace & tranquility! That's what I call a vacation! It's always a little sad when it's over but it just make you want to come back again & again! P.S. The realtor, Cathy was wonderful & made it all effortless !!!!
Spent a long weekend in May. Had a very relaxing mini vacation in a comfortable rental. Chuck was very nice to work with and was responsive during the rental process. I will be using there services again in the near future.
Beautiful setting overlooking the water. Wonderful food. I had the Softshell Crab Sandwich - delicious! And our service was great.
