What an amazing community! Both of my parents were residents of Bishop White Lodge at Cathedral Village over the past 5 years & I became a Compassionate Touch volunteer during that time which gave me an “inside view” of the staff & facilities. During this unprecedented challenge of covid they did everything they could to not only keep our loved ones safe physically but emotionally as well. They replaced the hugs that we were no longer able to give with their own while totally covered in PPE all day long! They provided zoom calls on a regular basis with our loved ones so we could see them & have them hear our voices! They provided family members regular updates in their website as well as regularly scheduled zoom meetings with all departments so we knew every step they were taking during this terrible time. My dad passed 3 years ago & my mom passed yesterday morning. Because she was on hospice they allowed my sisters & I to be at her side during her final days & they not only surrounded her with their love but also provided the emotional support that we needed during this sacred time. We have been beyond grateful to their entire staff & administration ️

My father is a senior here and when I came to visit him from Texas, I was truly impressed with his care. Thank you for all the compassionate care given to him.

The Assisted Living portion is fine. I would not recommend the Skilled Nursing. Seek out Keystone Care instead

They have no method of getting wheelchair bound people to first floor in the event of power outage. So when 100 degrees and lost their power elderly people can’t leave without major stress on them. This has happened many times since my parents moved in. They need a generator! And a ramp so people can exit. This should not happen ever ....why raise money for new exercise machines when it is not safe? It is not safe for the elderly to be in that heat. What happens in a fire? Administrators were not available on a Sunday night. It was only out for a short time. But you never know. It was really stressful. The place is supposed to reduce peoples stress. That is why it is so expensive right?
