This place is located on a back road (to Ikea:) and even though we had to do take out and eat in our car due to COVID, the food was amazing! We shared a half chicken- super moist, and enough for four meals! People waiting (socially distanced) told us to try the ribs. salmon and a potato special. We'll definitely be back!!! Summers out in their yard with the smokers going must be amazing!

Outstanding BBQ! This place over the last 30 years is Amazballs! Plus gluten-free (if asked and told MEDICAL) is an amazing thing as most places say oh we're \gluten-free\. These guys take it to another level. If you have Crohn's disease, hashimoto's disease, or some other disease that is truly gluten-free this is the place for you to eat. I heard through the grapevine that one of the owners is extremely sick when it comes to gluten so the chef that does all the sauces and all the major works make sure that everything is followed strictly.
Disclaimer: I'm not a professional critic Rating: It's more of a 3.5 but Google works on a discrete scale so I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Meal: I had the BBQ chicken sandwich with a side of chili and a sweet tea drink Pros: I like the smoky flavor and the outer texture of the chicken that the smoke creates. The sandwich bread was above average for most BBQ establishments that I have been to. The chili was great which I will be back for in the winter time. The cashier was polite and welcoming which made me feel appreciated to be there. Cons: The chicken was a little on the dry side which I'm sure is very challenging when smoking and the sauce was less moist and more pasty. The establishment looks like it could use some fixing up. Summary: Overall my experience was good and better than other BBQ places in the area. I will be back to try the other menu items. I will surely tip more as well, especially since I think the covered dining area could use some fixing up with maybe a barn style atmosphere. This place seems to have been here a long time and has letters everywhere detailing the rich history. This type of place is great to bring the family I would like to see this place do better since there will be tougher competition coming to south king county.
The Ole BBQ Standard. Everytime in the area cant miss this place but things have changed.... Newer employees. Perhaps lighter Covid era driven crowds. But the down side, terribly slow service and as it turned out inaccurate order fulfillment. Ordered my Stand By Fav Chicken Sandwich and ended up with 1/2 chicken 1/2 beef. Still Caveman good but unecessarily irritating slow order fulfillment and accuracy. Definitely wouldnt have flown in the Caveman-line-out-the-door heydays. Hope the guy who got my sandwich is just as understanding once they taste that great ole Caveman flavor and remember the great way it used to be.
Great food had the pulled pork sandwich and the coleslaw. They also offer whole pigs and custom smoking.
