Recently I applied for OCI renewal and got it faster than I expected. I gave 4 star only, the reason being that the checklist is not made properly, it’s confusing especially at the place where it mentions about documents that needs to be uploaded are not specifically mentioned so I had to upload and re-upload twice and mail the application again. But other than that the agency process speed was reasonably fast, I got it within 3 weeks.

The website didn't generate a return shipping label, i paid round trip courier service and now had to purchase the shipping myself with no refund from VFS. Support team is not there to help with issues.... People money is being stolen.
Quite friendly and understanding staff. Got the process done within one hour. Note: It all depends on a) if you have provided all the required documents and b) the type of visa processing opted for.
Very poor online application, horrible. They have a small application form to fill the renunciation details online and it doesn't allows to submit passport details that have future date. It's just ridiculous that this has been released without validation. Customer service says just put in any prior date and add a cover letter explaining why we put a prior date. What a mess and tomorrow if they don't accept it, it will be our problem
There is no in between with VFS. Either you have a passable experience or it is a nightmare. I have been in the process of applying for a visa for my fall semester for the past two months. Their responsiveness is horrible. The call agents are incredibly vague and do the bare minimum to help you. If you are a special case, forget it. They will tell you \we can give you an email\ and that's about it. And spoiler alert - the Washington Consulate will tell you \we'll look into it\ and does not look into it. My in-person appointment experience was decent and frankly, if I was basing my review on that alone, I'd give it maybe 2 stars, but that was only the culmination of my application experience which overall, was a nightmare.
