This addiction treatment facility truly understands the needs of young adults and underlying trauma that often exists. Many places seem to focus on treating the symptom, but Claudia Black Center focuses on the cause and that generally yields better results.

Amazing experience. I had some tough, stressful times there but looking back it was probably one of the best 45 days of my life. I drank on my way there, and in February I will be 4 years sober, and I have the Meadows to thank for that. Only complaints I would have is that I gained 25 pounds, I developed a cigarette habit, and the shower pressure is too damn low! But these don’t even take away from the 5star ratings, because the positivity I experienced far outweighs those things. I learned lifelong tools, and recommend it to anyone who finds their life or the life of a love one in crisis.
I highly enjoyed doing treatment at the Claudia black center they focused on traumas that lead to my drug abuse. They also are not just a substance abuse treatment. They do all kinds of different mental health treatments. The food is great. They have home made brown sugar Ice cream. The treatment I got from the staff was fanominal. Each staff member knew what they were dealing with and how to handle it because they themselves have been thru it.
If you would like to add more trauma to your life than this is definitely the facility to go to. They treat you like prisoners and drug addicts whether you’ve ever had drugs or not. They never once addressed my trauma. They punish you for everything and take away therapeutic activities ( that you are paying for and are considered therapy) from you just to punish you. They blamed my parents for all of my trauma which was not at all true. Survivors week is a joke and does nothing to help. The techs are all recovering drug addicts with a power complex and treat you like you are a prisoner to them. This place is soooooo messed up! Everyone I was in there with for 45 days will tell you the same thing. They also lied to my family that I would receive a lot of one on one therapy with my therapist which never happened. My therapist lied straight to my parents saying her and I were doing therapy one on one atleast twice a week. That never happened in the six weeks I was there. I left more depressed and traumatized than I was coming into the meadows. Don’t waist 60,000 on the meadows and let your loved one who has trauma be even more traumatized.
