Their phone line is always busy. I spent two days calling them to ask about my request for exemption from quarantine as an essential worker. Finally got ahold of someone who said they would get back to me the next day. That was a week ago and no one has called me back. I’ve been trying to call them all week and keep getting a busy signal. I called the mayor’s office to ask if there is something wrong with their phone. The mayor’s office said to keep calling them. What a disaster.

Our Hawaii Civil Defense has kept us posted with daily news, updates and testing locations for two months or more. (This is after months of regular news and updates, and leading us through the lava flow crisis.) Sometimes there are several news updates each day. Now, they just sent us wonderful news of no new virus cases and no persons under quarantine! Wonderful teamwork; and excellent leadership and compassion from our Civil Defense Team. Thank you Very Much!
In theory this is great. However, once it is issued it lasts a few seconds and there is no way I can find to recover the message and know what it said. I have to race to my phone to see it or I miss out.

You literally just scared me and my family to death. I spent 15 min in terror and tears rushing around my house on my broken ankle to huddle in my bathroom and call my mother to tell her there is a possibility I'm going to die and I need to tell her I love her before it happens.
Total joke, they send out missile warning and it was a mistake! They send out all kinds of warnings that should not even be on the civil defense, like rain and road closures? This place is desensitizeing the public with all there stupid warnings!
Need to improve there security, getting notice of a missile strike in bound is not ok. Looks like government officials need drug testing.
If you send a message saying a ballistic missile is incoming and that it is not a drill, you had better correct it faster than 38 minutes.
