I had a sudden onset of severe hearing loss. I met with four different audiologists in Connecticut. One refused to work with me due to the complexity of my condition. Three others quickly set me up with trials of standard hearing aides programed to my audiogram. These did not work well for the complexity of my condition. These audiologists showed little interest in, or patience with my need to further improve my hearing. Then I found Chris Dann. Chris was not satisfied with just selling another hearing aide. He genuinely wanted to keep searching for the best solution for my diminished hearing no matter how many appointments were needed For the first time I was working with an audiologist who genuinely cared. I noticed that he treated all his clients with kindness, and a commitment to responding rapidly to any difficulties they were having. As a physician, I recognize the importance of a providers “bedside manner”. Chris’s Dann’s compassion for and dedication to his patients is far superior to any of the other audiologists I tried to work with. I have been hearing impaired since my twenties, and it wasn't until I found the Dann Hearing Aid Center about 15 years ago that I finally found someone who cared. Chris Dann is a dedicated professional who understands hearing impairment, is always up to date on the latest technology, never tries to push you into buying something unless you are comfortable with a decision, and is always willing to help you if you need a tweak. A good example of the complete service you will get here: I was an android user. The Widex hearing aids that seemed best for me were among the first to work with bluetooth. The catch: the app that made it possible to take calls through the hearing aids was much more developed on iPhone than on android. Dr. Dann wasn't going to sell me the hearing aids unless was comfortable changing to an Apple phone. Well, I changed, and when i came in again, he set the app up on the phone, got the hearing aids synched, and let me test drive them for three weeks before I even heard from him. Good hearing aids aren't cheap, and with this kind of confidence, I have always felt I got the perfect set. Today I went in because there had been some feedback and I wanted him to look at the devices. True to form, he had the latest and greatest in a feedback reducing \tips\ and they made all the difference. It was like I had brand new technology. I suppose he could have tried to sell me a newer set, since these are about 3 years old, but that's not his style. His style is to have happy customers who would never think of going anywhere else. I strongly recommend this business to anyone who wants the latest in technology, but service like you are family. A truly great business.
