This is a wonderful stable with multiple stalls and outdoor areas. My ten-year-old son takes lessons with Martha Clipp from Pegasus Path, and he has gained incredible confidence!

We brought our two kids for an introductory lesson recently. Darren is a great teacher, patient with children, and explained everything to them in a very comprehensible yet precise way. He helped them to understand how horses perceive their surroundings and humans, and how to safely ride a horse bearing all this in mind. Highly recommend!

Darren is an excellent teacher. His teaching style incorporates focusing on riding skills along with the psychology of horses. I personally did not know how essential it was to understand these beautiful animals on a deeper level until Darren has eloquently and demonstrably explained it. It seems that Darren's teaching style of action supplemented with information on "how horses process commands and interaction" works wonderfully. I must admit that I still have a long journey to be an excellent rider, however I can wholeheartedly recommend Darren Woller Horsemanship to anyone who is interested in true horsemanship. Try this timeless sport with Darren. I'm sure you'll be just as pleased as I am that you did.

Special thanks to Darren for helping with my warmblood. Unfortunately dressage doesn't fix every problem and Ty definitely has some foundation holes. The boy is very good at thinking he is in charge. I know with Darren's expertise we will soon be the united front that I need to move forward into the show world. If this is your first time thinking about hiring Darren then think no longer. He's the real deal! He understands what is going on with your horse probably better than you do. He has a clean precise way of communicating that is easy to get the first time, and he's patient enough to help you see where you need to change something as simple as body positioning to be more effective in communicating with your horse. I felt super at ease and would definitely hand my reins over to him any day of the week. Good luck with your challenges, but I can probably predict if Darren is helping you and your mount, you will find your happily ever after ride real soon.

Darren is patient & excellent with teaching kids. He teaches them how to ride by helping them to understand the horse's perspective. It's a good place to go to learn how to ride, respect & take care of horses. My granddaughter loves it & she is making wonderful progress.

Darren Woller understands horses, understands people, and knows how to put them together. His ability to read a horse's mind and communicate with him/her is amazing. His skill at teaching even the rawest human novice how to partner with such a horse is just as great.

I moved to Urbana from Germany two years ago. I had my own horse in Germany and was looking for a place where I could continue my Western riding lessons and learn more about the Buck Brannaman style of horsemanship. I'm very glad I found Darren Woller Horsemanship last year. Darren is a fantastic teacher, he knows exactly what he is talking about and my horsemanship and riding skills have both increased a lot. I highly recommend Darren to everybody who wants to develop a real partnership with the horse.

Growing up I rode at many different barns, from western style to english show barns and Darren Woller Horsemanship has been the first place I have felt completely at home while riding. I started riding here during college (in Bloomington) and would drive an hour every week to take a lesson. When I graduated I actually moved to Champaign so I could continue taking lessons from Darren and ended up buying my first horse. This is my favorite place in Champaign, and my favorite barn I've ever ridden at. I would recommend Darren for anything from beginner riders who have never been on a horse to extremely advanced riders. I've ridden my whole life and yet every week I learn something new.
