So disappointed in the state troopers . I called for assistance on the highway I-55 using the *999 option and I called the state troopers direct line. An officer responded they would send someone right away. 3 HOURS later and NO ONE ever showed up. Not one officer. My cars bolts flew out which caused my tire to pop out I almost hit the car next to me but managed to pull to the right shoulder. Put my emergency lights on and got out of the car to wait for assistance. If you've ever been in this situation you know how dangerous it is to be standing on the shoulder while semi trucks come flying passed you. We all know that traffic always moves slower when a trooper is in the area and thats what I was hoping for so I can stay safe. *999 never came with the tow truck and police never dispatched a trooper. This is the stuff that happens right before you see someone on the news that got run over on the highway. Thanks for nothing illinois state troopers!! I'm alive freezing as its currently 30. Thank you to the good samaritan that pulled over and helped me 3 hours later!

I have been calling them for a week...if your need help have a job fair!! No one answers the phone. Each suburb has it's own police, how busy can you be?? And for Christ sake, open up more offices!! Who wants to drive to Desplaines??
I’ve called and spoke twice with officers about the transfer of concealed weapons from a gun friendly state and the officers were very professional and patient with my questions. They explained the State laws very clear and made them very understandable.
Just like the state itself.... officers dont want to work.... you ask them even for a phone number For a STATE office... and instead of getting it for you because THEY told you to call them.... they tell you to look it up on google.... this is the reason for crime.... frustration because the police do NOT respect the community
