Today was my first visit with Dr. Michael Halko. I was very impressed with the time he spent with me. He took the time to read the packet of information I sent ahead of time. He wasn't rushed, he listened to me, and we had conversations. He had questions for me, and shared his initial thoughts with me before we begin any testing. He accepted my health responsibilities that were within his purview, and is referring me to a specialist for something he felt needed a closer look. He also asked to be copied on a test another doctor is ordering which made me feel he is interested in my overall health and well being. I felt very confident when I left that I was in great hands! Office staff was very pleasant. as well.

How disappointing to see the review for Dunlap Family Physicians! I've had wonderful experiences with several of the Doctors and I appreciate the fact that there is an opportunity for \walk-ins\ -though I am not sure if they are still doing that with COVID going around. I would highly recommend Dr. Pamela Rogers. I've also seen Dr. Chelsie Seffens and Dr. Katie Brenner in the past for walk in appointments. Both of them were excellent as well. When I was having trouble, my Doctors and staff were quick to make sure I had ultrasound appointments, referrals, and even connected with me afterwards to make sure everything was as it should have been. When I've needed bloodwork, everything was easy and good to go... Never had any trouble, just helpful staff and kindness. Thank you all for always taking good care of me!
No more. My family will be moving on as of today. These medical professionals have misdiagnosed me twice. My husbands annual physical forms have been “ lost” twice. The only good thing about this place is that it has two nurses from the old Crown Hill Orrville family practice. I hope they too can move on to better jobs with more ethical medical professionals.Very unethical people
Dr. Halko is an incredible doctor. I understand he’s a DO. I’ve always worked with MD’s. It seems the DO has a number of other approaches and different perspectives, that you may not normally hear or receive from MD’s. At least that’s my perspective and experience. Dr. Halko really did help me. In a big way when I really needed a doctor that was going to listen and work to help me. And he did that. Above and beyond. Which is why I left a 5 star rating. I rarely leave 5 star ratings. But he honestly did more in a week for me, than multiple other doctors have been able to for a long time before this. I’m more than impressed by the results I’ve seen since working with Dr. Halko. I hope to continue to work with him now and in the future. His bedside manner; the care and concern I’ve received from especially Dr. Halko, as well as the rest of the staff at Dunlap Family Physicians’s, has been remarkable. I say thank you to the good doctor for all he’s done to help me.
Stephanie and Dr. Romar are the only good thing about this office. Phone numbers do not get updated when requested, resulting in appointments being scheduled (and missed) due to no knowledge. Front desk is never very friendly. It takes about 3 years to get someone to answer the phone. I've been trying for a month to schedule two ultrasounds for my kids that I was told would be scheduled a week after our appointment. I have been told to call a number coming up as out of service to schedule an appointment. I called to verify the number with referrals and was told it's the correct number but their phone has issues.... So I still can't schedule it and somehow internally they cannot have that department reach out to me. Keeping fingers crossed that we can get these tests done in the next 5-7 years. If patients could deal with Stephanie and Dr. Romar directly it would be five stars hands down.
