Visited this store for the first time and, as everyone else say's, the lights were on, the sign said open but the door was locked. I came back another time and finally DID get in! This guy is, in my opinion, 100% strange. I have truly never met someone like him. And his wife is 100% rude. She watched me like a hawk and made me feel very unwelcome. The store is sort of messy and disorganized. And the prices I saw were way too high. Will not be back.

Since Rail and Spike is now closed permanently, the only true model train store in the region is Blue Ridge Hobbies at 2327 N Pleasantburg Dr Unit H in Greenville, SC. They have been in business for 12 years and sell products at discount prices both in store and online! The have seasonal hours for the store so check hours online before you visit. They are an internet retailer with a small store front that features HO scale and some O scale. Mostly track, scenery, structures and some rolling stock. Store is well stocked with these items! Google their website, buy online and pickup at the store!

People were in the store and said that they were not open. All signs said open and the hours everywhere else said that they should have been open. I've been to the store before and it was ok, but this time was terrible. Just feel like this situation could have been avoided.

Why have hours posted on the website and a open sign if you are NEVER open? You don't care if your open or not. Your missing out on a lot of business! This is my last time stopping by to see if you just happen to be open. You can keep your overpriced junk!!!!!!
