We stayed at \House Among the Oaks\ and it was truly a magical experience. The house is set on 2 acres with trees and a large grassy area on one side with a big wind chime where we often saw deer and other forest creatures scampering through. On the other side of the house is a big pool and deck where we could lounge on our floats and forget about the world. Just down the road we found some wonderful hiking trails.....we had everything at the house we needed to be able to spread out and get some much needed R & R.The perfect Ojai retreat! Lisa was absolutely wonderful and saw to our every need. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to be comfy cozy and we even made some wonderful dinners. Definitely created some lifetime memories at \House Among the Oaks\.....can't wait to come back!

We stayed at Monkey Lodge for a month. The place is magical. It was peaceful and homey. Everyday we encountered hummingbirds, woodpeckers, quails and rabbits. Inside you feel transported to a beautiful lodge in Montana and outside the serene beauty of a California farm. We were the first tenants to be there and we felt really pampered by the owners (many amenities) and our wonderful and one of a kind host Lisa who will go to any length to make you feel at home.
I rented Twin Creeks Ranch for my yoga retreat. We comfortably fit 22 people in the space and it was absolutely MAGICAL. Lisa was so helpful with the entire process of checking in and ensuring we had everything we needed. The space was BEAUTIFUL and luxurious. The design is so cute and between the pool, kitchen, and yoga studio; we were totally spoiled to have an unbelievable experience.
I rented Rolling Thunder for my daughters wedding party and their spouses and kids in mid-September 2018. It was perfect! Everyone that stayed there had a wonderful time.The house and guest houses slept the 10 young adults and three adolescent aged kids very comfortably. The owners Lisa and Jerry Kenton and their staff are accommodating in every way.We also rented the spectacular and nearby Collins Ranch for my daughters wedding through Lisa Kenton. The large gated grounds and gardens are secluded and completely fenced off. Our big Rottweiler thought she had died and gone to heaven. This house was a great spot for every pre and post wedding gathering. The pool area has hammocks and lots of shade and good hot spots. The jacuzzis rocked ! Ping pong and other games got used as well as the awesome outdoor fireplaces and barbecues.
We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at Retro Retreat. We came up from Los Angeles for a getaway full of shopping, eating, golfing, hiking and relaxing and we were not let down. The location of Retro Retreat is perfect and central to everything. We had a wonderful evening on the patio and grilled hamburgers. Lisa and Carla were very accommodating and we had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Hopefully we can return soon!
