We use this area to put our tubes into the lake during the summer and it's shallow enough for an easy slide in. Yes, the water is murky so beware of debris on the bottom that might hurt your feet but that's a lake problem versus the ramp spot. Avoid any places you might hear buzzing though since you may anger the stinging insects in the summer.

Great put in for Kayaking. Has a gradual drop off into the water and ample parking.
Small dedicated parking area was full, but was able to park along the side of the road and carry my kayak to the ramp. Nice and clean with a walking/running trail next to the ramp.
