This has been a great practice that my family has been going to since the early 70’s when Dr. Tibor Frekko first opened in the Montgomery Village Professional Center. Though recently with the upcoming migration to a concierge practice the focus from Frekko Primary Care has been on text messages and videos marketing why I should pay over 3,000 (out of pocket) a year for the privilege of being able to schedule an appointment where I can then pay my co-pay. After confirming an appointment several times in the last week for a follow-up Shingles vaccine I arrived today to be told that (1) they don’t have the vaccine and (2) they won’t have it until after January 4th at which time only members of their concierge service will be admitted. I’ll just say that today’s experience is not a ringing endorsement to hand over 3,000 for a membership fee when I can get the same treatment at a local pharmacy without the extra cost.

Used to be a pretty good office. Never had any real issues in scheduling and during visits. Did the job. However the practice is now moving to a \fancy concierge model\ and will be charging a whopping 1950 per patient per year just to have access to the practice! Looking at what you are paying for you will notice that most points are services ou should expect from any PCP (and that they actually provided before charging an annual fee). I guess it shows where their priorities lie, they care about your health, if you can afford 2000 a year AND your insurance's copays. Guess their lower income (and/or reasonable) patients can go find somewhere else to get care. Not a fan of subscription based health care, I'll be looking for another practice.

The virtual visits are a good alternative these days. Nurse Practitioner Mba is always patient and she really listens to me. Then she finds solutions that always help. Love this practice.

Great practice, great doctors. I haven't been with this practice for long but so far I really, really love it.
