Galt was happy to take a big chunk of IHSS backpay but did little to "earn" it the first time around, 18 months ago. My wife, who had no prior experience with IHSS or special needs advocacy was able to put together all of the paperwork and details in order to get hours approved. Galt essentially lent their name to the case, and that was about it. Now, 18 months later, we are up for an IHSS renewal interview, and despite several attempts over the last week to get the assistance stipulated in our contract, we have experienced nothing but missed callback appointments and mishandled case management. The IHSS agent will be here for an interview in 3 hours, and we have had ZERO input or assistance from this agency. Ms. Galt is a nice enough lady, but this agency is in chaos, and it seems nobody at this office is communicating with anyone else. For the amount of money they were given to help us, they have absolutely fallen flat. If you have no other options and can't do the legwork yourself for these kinds of cases, then I guess something is better than nothing, but we are thoroughly unimpressed with the level of commitment and follow through this agency has demonstrated at this point. EDIT 10.22.2019 - After seeing this review, we were contacted and provided the assistance and guidance we expected. I will upgrade from 1 to 3 stars. We have more advocacy needs coming up soon, and I will revise upwards again if expectations are met.
