Was going to apply for a job with GC services after sending in my resume, but upon reading the email sent to me, there was quite a lot they ask of you for not a lot of money. If I’m going to be put in a high-stress job position, (as they stated) I’d better be getting paid a hell of a lot more than 10.75 an hour. “Must be able to work with difficult or abusive customers”. I mean, I understand that you’re going to have difficult customers, that happens anywhere. But you should definitely never allow your employees to be abused by customers, and you definitely shouldn’t state that in your detailed description of responsibilities. If someone calls that is irate, screaming and cursing me out and calling me names, I’m going to hang up or a manger can deal with it. No one wants to be verbally abused in a work place and sure as hell not for 10.75 an hour. I knew something wasn’t right about this place and I’m glad I came here to read the comments and see that the majority of them are from previous employees who were poorly mistreated. Always go with your gut!

Strongly suggest never work in the collections with GC services, the managers will write you up for every little detail you did incorrectly even though you wasn’t aware, never talk about your personal business because they will gossip about it to the whole floor. The manager (Jenny is very nasty and she has her favorites) you will not get your mindue(bonus) till months later once you save an account. Unprofessional people working there, The only good managers up there that knows what they’re doing and will help are only Rob and Amanda. When it comes to contests, it’s not fair at all. Since I’ve been there I hated it after the second month. I feel so relieved, my hair is starting to grow back!!!. If you’re trying to get collection experience only, this job wouldn’t be it. Stay away from this department at GC services!!! I’m serious they don’t pay you enough for the trials you go through.

*HERES WHATS WRONG* ____KROGER CUSTOMER SERVICE REP____ !FOR THE KROGER ACCOUNT!I worked at GC services for 7 months. SCAPEGOATING-----They give out wrong information to agents who are inexpirienced. I saw them telling people the wrong information just to give them coaches and sometimes disciplinary actions later on. They will give wrong information out to people and scold them purposely. I knew what they were doing this and avoided it. I also warned other employees working with me but not everyone believed me, hence why they got written up. BIGGEST ISSUES---They require mandatory overtime and don't have enough seating for everyone. Desks availiable was scarce even on 40 hour work weeks without the mandatory time. I went home early on multiple occasions because the computer systems were so troublesome they wouldn't work. Managers sacrifice their seating and stand in a line watching agents hoping people volunteer to go home early just to get a desk. Regular employees volunteer to \floor walk\ which is a management duty and they do this without extra pay or without knowledge of any leadership skills. They try to find reasons to fire people even though they never got me because I left to a new company, and was too smart to get caught doing anything wrong while working there. _________________OTHER ISSUES_________________ HUMAN RESCOURCES---When I was in orientation the HR woman said to everyone \if you ever have problems with someone don't contact us or bring it to my desk\. Very discouraging unprofessional. KROGER ACCOUNT--- They hire at a great rate with what they call premium pay, for me it was 12 as long as I didn't miss a shift, otherwise it was 11.75. The QA team didn't promote good customer service skills and managers were clickish; they were threatened by professional figures taking the spotlight. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOU FIND A NEW JOB!!!!
