They were nice, caring and compassionate. They kept me informed every step of the way when it came to my son's donation. I needed to know arrivals and departure of each destination from the time he left the hospital, until he arrived back at the funeral home. They even asked if there was anything I wanted them to say before the actual donation started. Darian was a recipient of multiple replacement heart valves. He was 25yrs old with 6 open heart surgeries under his belt. He was the true definition of a soldier. He would have been 26 yrs old on Valentine's day 2020. Twenty five years just wasn't long enough, but I guess I should be thankful I had him that long. Giving back to the gift of hope was only fitting. I will miss my sweet Valentines's baby for the rest of my life. I pray that i will see him again. I long for the day that we meet again my first love...

Today, Gift of Hope sponsored an appreciation family event at Brook Field Zoo. (Yes there were some bumps in the road with tickets, but this was not a problem because it was about my father being honored to me). I just want everyone to know how great is was for this organization to care so much about the donors families. I know for me: it meant so much to know how much each employee cared about not just my father but all the donors' families. Special thanks to all the employees at the event and Ashley Ocasio Thank you very much JD Dixon's Family.

Gift of Hope has been a beacon of light in the darkest time of my and my families life. My brother passed away in a tragic car accident, still young and healthy. His death was sudden and horrible for all of us, but there is Greta comfort knowing his passing has saved many lives and improved the quality of life for the recipients of his organs. Paul, the donation nurse, was excellent! He was compassionate but very direct with the facts and very informative. He was great at answering our questions and having a sense of humor when it was appropriate. Susan at Gift of Hope has also been very compassionate and helpful; I requested informational materials for my brothers celebration of life and she went above and beyond to make it happen for me. I have become an enthusiastic advocate for organ donation because I see how vital it is and how much good can come from a bad situation. Consider supporting Gift of Hope; they really deserve recognition for their efforts. (As an aside, MD, who left the 1 star review, lacks credibility because they’ve left so many 1 star reviews for people working in fast food, customer service, etc. so many times. They seem determined to be miserable and negative. I feel bad for them.)

My wife was driving our vehicle Southbound i-355 on to I-88 Sunday January 7th around 5:45 p.m. when a Nissan Armada with vehicle number 22 from this organization started flashing their brights because we were driving too slow and ice conditions and we had a vehicle in front of us this vehicle then proceeded not to allow us to enter the highway I wonder how the sponsors the donors and those who give to this organization would feel if they knew the reputation on how poorly their drivers drive on the highway aggressively?
