Just had a simplicity 6 repaired and refurbished at the grand Lake sew and Vac. They did a very good job, metered street parking was very easy and inexpensive, I was treated very well, the employees are friendly and helpful. Just got home to test the vacuum cleaner and it works better than brand new. I love that they were very happy to repair my old vacuum cleaner and did not try to sell me a new one or anything like that at all. Just a very good experience all the way around. I can recommend grand Lake sew and Vac very easily.

I called the shop today because my vacuum turned off while I was using it and wouldn't turn back on. The person on the phone was very friendly and said I could bring it in for a free evaluation. When I brought it in the gentleman greeted me kindly and plugged it in to see what was wrong. Turns out the vacuum just needed to cool down (I overloaded it trying to vacuum seal a big bag of pillows) and it didn't need any work! I was really impressed with how nicely he explained the issue and how he didn't seem at all disgruntled that I wasted his time. If my vacuum ever DOES have a real problem in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to bring it here.

I've gone in a few times to shop around for a vaccum, and then moving into a new place, there was a Eureka vaccum left by the prior tenants. \Dump it\ my roommates said. But then I recalled the fix it shop. Figured worth a try and support a local business. Why not. I was provided with an upfront 65 fee and they were incredibly transparent about the next steps. Whether or not it was worth servicing or they'd break it down for parts. Well, it appears that the 65 was well spent! I have a beautiful Eureka suction vaccum that works. Beats getting a dyson. Support local! This team is communicative, friendly, professional and all around lovely!

I took my Italian sewing machine in for basic service. I included a full stainless steel bobbin and a nearly full roll of polyester cotton thread. What was returned to me was no thread and a cheap plastic bobbin that had been jammed into the frame, it took for ever to get out since it was too large, probably not metric. My stainless steel bobbin is gone. Unclear how they can mix up parts from different machines?! I called several times, left messages, I wrote twice on the website. No response. I will not return there.

Needed to see if a repair on a 13 year old Miele vacuum would be worth it. It was. Owner was super knowledgeable and friendly. Would suggest buying a quality vacuum from them.
