We arrived on a day when they weren't supposed to be seating anymore for the day but they allowed us in anyway since we'd travel so far to get there and I'm glad they did! The restaurant is very industrial yet chic. As it was built from a repurposed cotton mill factory. It has a great gourmet menu with a nice selection of craft beer. Not to mention a top notch butcher shop that just so happens to be attached. The outside boasts many photo opportunities too with a little creek running under the restaurant and through the overall complex.

We came out for a birthday dinner. Our waiter was slow and mixed up our orders and forgot to give us items we ordered. I ordered the filet and was extremely disappointed in the size. The website and other social media photos make them look much bigger. Certainly was not worth 50. Sides I ordered were decent.
Great restaurant. The aesthetic was amazing and i felt so relaxed as I enjoyed the incredible food. The service was admirable and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a nice meal at any time of the day. Prices were not that bad. Some of the steaks were a bit pricey but they had other options that were not too expensive and we're delicious. The chicken and waffles and the butcher's breakfast were amazing.
I am so happy with service lately. It really has been excellent. Nice patio, great service, delicious food. I ordered a side salad and the small meat and cheese plate. So I have half a small meat and cheese plate and side salad for lunch tomorrow. Lots of food. The drinks were WONDERFUL.
DELICIOUS food - GREAT vibe - GREAT location. An all time favorite of mine. The Butcher Shop is an added bonus! One of my favorite places in Greensboro. Definitely recommend.
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I think we found our new regular date night dinner
I first ate here in February 2020 to treat my hubby to a 30th birthday dinner. He loves himself a good steak and it'd been a while since we'd found a decent place and a restaurant named Kau seemed promising. It didn't disappoint! He ordered the 32oz ribeye steak and I had myself a salmon ceviche, a special they were having that night. It was a little pricy but definitely worth it. He ate the entire thing and is sure it's the best steak he's had in NC. We're originally from NY and have tried the best steaks from all around and have even gone to Japan to have their Kobe so we were really trying to find a spot that he'd enjoy and were glad we finally did. The waitress was also incredibly kind to our little family of 3 and was so accommodating as it was the first of a few places we were going out as new parents. COVID has really changed the way and frequency in which we've gone out to eat and came out on a nice day when we heard Kau had a nice little deck we could enjoy by the water. It was such a nice view, outside away from others, and everyone was masked up. They even had wifi we were allowed to use so that my hubby was able to stream that fight that was on that weekend while enjoying a steak. Great times here! Would totally recommend it.
Celebrated my 40th! at this beautiful restaurant, we ate outside which was nice. We had great service and the food was very good! Definitely recommend!
