I called to schedule an appointment with a hair dresser that’s familiar with African American hair. I was happy to get an appointment on Saturday on July 25th. Received a call back from the receptionist because they made an error scheduling on the wrong day and had to cancel the appointment. I was understanding and I know that we are not perfect. Receptionist shared she would put me on the waiting list Incase anyone cancel. The reason for low rating because I believe it would be kind if the salon at least call back to offer another appointment even if it it not on that day due to being a new customer. They did not follow up at all or even attempt to call back to ask if I’m interested in scheduling another appointment since I’m first time customer looking for a new hair dresser. So I’m suspecting to be treated differently due to not being their regular customer and did not care to add new clients. Hope this review helps to improve their customer service especially for first time customers. First impression is very important. This review is under a different name for privacy reason.

I went for a consultation and even though i couldnt get what i hoped for, im so appreciative of the service. She educated me on my hair and the reasons why what i wanted would damage my hair. Of course im so sad but i would be worse off if i didnt take her advice. They dont want to just take your money like other places ive been to, they will be honest and take care of you. They want what is best for you and your hair. Any other hair things i need i'll be coming here knowing they will do right by me. I think her name was Sarah? Im bad with names but they were lovely. Now i have to take care of my hair better so eventually i can get what i want. Thank you guys!

There are good stylists, even great stylists, but only one Leonardo Gugliotti, who elevates his craft to an art form. With each cut, my opinion is sought. Consistently, the result is testimony to this man's skill and dedication to every client. The Rocky Hill Salon is both upscale and beautifully designed. Our family has visited the Hartford salon, as well, which is equally warm and welcoming. All fortunate enough to cross a Gugliotti threshold are met with genuine hospitality seldom seen today. Luciana, clearly the cog in this wonderful wheel, sets the tone, for she is a true delight, greeting each new arrival with sincere enthusiasm and moving mountains to accommodate appointment requests. Across the board, outstanding!!!
