Spiritual. People are nice and welcoming even if you are not Indian or religious. Went to a wedding and it was nice... got there early and no worries.

This place is so peaceful . O my gosh I can’t even explain. Because this feeling is amazing , if you want to experience it you have to go to this place. They even offers free food to everybody be it of any caste, creed , religion, etc. This place is open from 4 am to 11 pm and you can go anytime and enjoy food which they call as LANGAR. That food is soooo delicious. The 2 most important things they ask from you is 1: Your head should be covered with a scarf, handkerchief ( even if you don’t have it they will provide one for you) 2: remove your shoes and wash your hands. It’s of course a religious place and you don’t have to be a religious person to enjoy the peace and food till you don’t disrespect this religion. One of my and my family’s favorite place as the staff is really good, polite and they take good care of you and your family. Peace out

Sat Sri Akal - Through a friend earlier this year I was introduced to Sikkhi. I began to read on my own, and as my interest grew realized that visiting a local gurudwara was necessary. After researching online, I found this location not too far from home. My experiences here the last 6-7 weeks have been inspiring, spiritual and comforting. At the first visit, I was given a tour around the facility by one of the managers. He spent over 60 minutes explaining Sikh history, and the tenets and lifestyle principles of the faith. He encouraged me to start volunteering (doing sewa) in the kitchen to become part of the community and to listen/ pray/ meditate etc in the main darbar hall. I have been there every weekend for the last several weeks and offer the following comments: - a more polite and welcoming community of people I have rarely encountered. People have been courteous, helpful and kind which inspires me to reciprocate. Very calming to be among kind and helpful people. - as a non Punjabi, I was slightly self conscious the first couple of times I went; again there has been only courtesy and welcome. - sitting in Darbar in the mornings before starting sewa, I listen to the chanting and have begun my own chanting at home with my usual prayers. - on Sundays, various goods are put out. I selected a Kara which I wear all the time. You are not charged, items are offered freely. - doing service is amazing. I love it! Hoping to be a part of the Sangat for a long time to come. Thank you to all at Gurudwara Sikh Cultural Society!
