Received a call from the Des Moines location today. She asked me to speak with someone who takes care of our forklifts. I nicely let her know that we have a company that currently handles that for us and she hung up on me. How do you win business if you just hang up? How about asking probing questions? Being rude and hanging up just ensures that we will not use you in the future if we have changes with our current provider. Also, most companies have caller ID, that is how I knew that it was Herc-U-lift Des Moines that was calling.

Terrible rental policy. If you rent a lift for 1 day, they now expect you to call in for pickup or else they will charge you indefinitely. We had a 1 day lift rental and we left the job site expecting them to pick up the rental the next day like they had done every time before. Turns out they left the lift there for over two months and charged us for this entire time. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a lift rental. We looked into two other companies and both of the companies were cheaper than Herc-U-Lift and these other companies have great reviews. Now that we have had issues, everyone we talk to seems to have had poor experiences with Herc-U-Lift.
