I had an absolute nightmare of a trip to this orthodontist... Dr. Iacob, the orthodontist, was rude, and her staff was very unprofessional. The staff had no idea who I was in the chair, and confused, asked who I was, which made me feel anxious as to why I was there. Dr. Iacob was extremely rough, cutting my gums with her drill, and caused my teeth to be extremely sore during removal of my old permanent retainer. After that experience, they had an assistant and two others in the room attempt to apply a permanent retainer. One of them said they had never done this before, but when I asked for the orthodontist, they shrugged me off. The three then continued on with the procedure while condemning my plan of treatment, saying that permanent retainers are a horrible option and how bad they are, while dropping the retainer on my face and then the tube of glue as well! They proceeded to install it incorrectly, and when I raised my concerns (as I couldn’t bite my back teeth together), the assistant became very sarcastic and said “well it’s not going to feel like your old retainer.” Finally, I got the orthodontist to come back in and had to convince her to redo it... As a patient, I felt that they didn’t care to listen to my concerns or even respect me. When I expressed my concerns and asked for a discount or refund, I was simply told no because they provided a “service.” My family WILL NOT be coming back here, as we all have had horrible experiences with the staff. I feel like I am a very understanding patient, however, this experience is why so many avoid going to the dentist.
