I was stopped by Trooper JD Warren, Jr. Friday night for an expired tag and driving rather stupidly. He gave me a ticket for the expired tag and a warning for following too closely. He treated me with the highest degree of professionalism and with kindness. When he could have thrown the book at me for a couple of other things, he chose not to. Officer Warren did more with kindness to change my driving habits than he ever could have done piling on more tickets. I was extremely tired and not paying proper attention to my driving. My life is filled with a lot hard work and adversity, which keeps me very tired. Officer Warren was a bright spot in my life at a time when there has been too much darkness.
