It's probably the most authentic Taiwanese food around, which is a bit strange since the whole Chinese Cultural Plaza was originally connected with the Republic of China. Their soup noodles are home made! I don't love the overwhelming presence of five spice (cloves, cinnamon, fennel, star anise, sichuan peppers), but my wife and daughter gobbled everything up. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices are moderate, but not really a bargain. They used to have fantastic shave ice (Taiwan-style, of course), but that seems to have been a casualty of the pandemic.

I’m distraught that this place is closed on Sundays because when my violent popcorn chicken cravings hit I have to settle elsewhere. Please never close
I've spent a year and a half living in Taiwan. The food from here almost brought tears to my eyes. It was like ordering from local Taiwanese restaurants, same flavor, same authenticity. Even the same somewhat numbing sting from the spicy dumpling chili oil that I'm used to. I just needed the sound of a million scooters and extreme heat to complete the experience . Highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and eat from here. Ordered: Classic Taiwanese beef noodle soup, wonton with chili oil, fried squid balls, and stir fried cabbage with garlic Francisco ordered:
Excellent noodle place, everything were made in the house! And don't over look their side dishes either, never disappoints.
The noodles are extremely delicious and spicy. The noodles have a chewy texture and a numbing sensation from the Sichuan peppercorns. The beef is perfectly tender and well cooked. The broth is extremely spicy. The wontons have a thin and delicate skin that flows over the chili oil, and the filling has amazing taste and texture.
Sorry it was a mistake. Food was bomb. Thx
They have been updating their menu and of course still have the best items: beef noodle (spicy too), braised tofu, and of course their garlic sauce (mix the garlic sauce and chili for awesomeness). Just be sure to bring breath mints for after. They have some delicious new items like popcorn chicken and baked eggplant. I need to take pictures the next time I visit. Highly recommended!
We came here before the stay-at-home order so this review is for dining service before the pandemic. This small and cozy place served solid noodles dishes at a decent portion for only 10. They offered mainly noodles dIshes at lunch so I’d come back again at dinner time for more traditional Taiwanese dishes when this whole thing is over.
