We adopted our wonderful dog Cocoa (formerly Mayflower) from HSNWG six weeks ago. We have nothing but praise for the dedicated volunteer staff and the amazing facility. The place is clean and new and they are so fortunate to have so much open space and exercise areas. We found the process of adoption to be easy and appropriate. I would not want to adopt from a facility that basically just handed over a dog without careful vetting of the adopter. During the pandemic animals are in high demand for adoption and you have to act quickly. We were fortunate and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Thank you for all you do!

DO NOT RECOMMEND going here to adopt. Process is way too long for them to just tell you that the pet you are interested in is already been adopted. They have no customer service that is worth communicating. I tried for a while on a dog and they wouldn’t answer simple questions I had. Shelter doesn’t have a phone so don’t bother calling. Nobody answers and they have no decent form of communication. Just hoping to save someone else’s time and not have it wasted.

Do they not have a front desk person to answer phones? I've called several times a day everyday this week and they haven't picked up or called back once. Edit: Understood! Just wanted to make sure I had the correct number. I was also wanting to adopt and was calling to check on the application. Thank you for getting back to me.

Great new facility for rescues! JoJo was a little happy go lucky puppy for someone who needs an energetic pup and seems would be especially great with kids too!
