I appreciated the news, but TERRIBLE customer service. I had signed up previously and cancelled, and then recieved an email offering 6 for 6 months, so I signed up again. My info said I would be charged 6, but got charged 15.99 instead. 6 emails later, they are still refusing to refund me. Absolutely horrible customer service - very sneaky and deceitful.

First off, the content is VERY biased and clearly leans left. Every article pushes an agenda rather than just deliver news. Additionally, they perform very shady work with their billing. In my case specifically, they continued to send me papers after I elected to NOT renew my subscription. I did not ask for this, but they do it automatically and call it a \grace period\. I then received a bill and collections notice for almost 50 for a service/product I did not ask for. I emailed them asking for this to be removed, and they responded saying no. This is very poor business practice, as they are auto-enrolling disinterested ex-customers in new subscriptions, and then attempting to collect payment for something that customer didn't ask for. I would highly recommend not purchasing any type of product or service from this organization as they clearly have no interest in delivering a proper service to their customers. If you read additional reviews on Google, YELP and BBB, you'll find numerous reports of my exact same scenario happening with other customers.

I opted to leave the Idaho Statesman because I feel that they do not include broad perspectives in their reporting, especially when it comes to local politics. I informed the woman who called me and asked for my feedback of this. Since then, I have received calls every day for the past three days from the publication. After finally answering this morning to ask them to please stop calling me, they came across very pushy to try and get me to \extend my membership for a few months.\ I think that my initial conversation complete with an explanation as to why I no longer need their services sufficed. If the Statesman would like to retain membership, they could take customer feedback and implement some changes. Calling people repeatedly does nothing except come across as obnoxious. I've since blocked their number. These interactions have led me to decide that I will not do business with them again.

Tried to call IS to talk to somebody who could help with obtaining copies of a column from archives. Impossible!

They were a good news source for reliable and unbiased information but as of late have skewed way towards one party and not just reporting the facts.
