I was in the mood for a Belgium waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, so I decided to try Jack Holder's out. I got it to go along with a slice of chocolate cake. Both were great and fresh. The chocolate cake was moist and tasted like there was a layer of cheesecake in it. I'll definitely be back and referring friends to try them out.

Great neighborhood breakfast spot. Small inside so there may be a line but it's worth it. Home style comfort food at its finest. Wonderful service and food you can't beat. Close to the cable car to head downtown for the day.

Great service. Ample servings and bottomless coffee! Outdoor eating in tent outside feels safe. It is warm in the tent with great fresh air flowing in nicely. They don't rush you out.

Wow excellent food, service, atmosphere so nice - outdoor tent is very comfortable, warm in the cold, tables are perfectly distanced. Wine and beer selection are surprisingly sophisticated.

This was our first time dining here. It's covid time and there is outdoor seating. They had a nice setup. Huge fans for cooler air and space between tables. My Mom and Aunt both got a Prawn Pomodoro dish. They enjoyed it... but my mom got burnt garlic bread and my aunt didn't. Their dish came with soup or salad. My aunt got a side salad. My mom got a delicious bowl of posole ( hominy and meat) that soup was so flavorful and tasted authentic. Yum. We all want to go back just for the posole. It was that good. I wonder if it really is only sold as an appetizer on Sundays. It's so good... it should be a main dish. I got a chicken Cobb Salad. Chicken was dry and it did not come with egg, which was disappointing, but salad was still filling, but I feel that salad should be served crisp, fresh and refridgerated. My salad was not. My nephew got a 49er burger. He loved it after they had to cook it again to make it more well done for his liking. Service was OK... on the slower side, we were there for 40 mins before our food was served. After we got served ... it did get quite busy. We got NO refills on our coffee and soda, which was disappointing, but maybe that was a covid thing. Overall, this place served good decent food. It was a bit pricey, as most of the dishes were around 15 to 18 bucks... Just little things could be improved here and there with the food presentation and service. Then, I'd be happy to give them a 5 star rating. Looking forward to going back on a Sunday for that posole again ...and to try more of their good food.
