Rude and careless man. He just hung up on me after stating that he “does not care” about the unfair/unethical fees I’ve been incorrectly charged as a result of their own error. I moved out of state months ago. I did my part to change my address with the RMV, insurance companies, leasing parties, and post office, etc. I even have new registration plates and a new driver’s license and even paid vehicle property taxes in a whole new state since then.... yet these bills dated weeks/months after my updated address changes was sent to my old address issuing fees for “non payment” for bills they: A. Shouldn’t even be charging me for anymore, and B. Were sent to the wrong address. (Luckily the new residents are kind enough to forward to me). So I ask how to correct this, he tells me to update with the registry and post office (what I’ve already done), and I ask “I’ve already done this, clearly someone somewhere made a mistake, why should I be responsible for these fees made in their error. There’s got to be something we can do to correct this?” And he simply said “it’s not debatable and I am required by law to pay them”. What law???? Why would that be a law to pay for other peoples mistakes??? Then he hangs up on me without a single f*ck to give or any info for resources I can call or look into. I’m just supposed to accept their fees and pay for their mistakes, which apparently could continue on and on and there’s “nothing I can do” (according to him).
