Played 18 here on a Monday morning as a 2some. All in all, a decent course for the price. Unpretentious staff and a quiet vibe good for beginners. Greens were slow after being aerated 2.5 weeks ago, but that is completely understandable. They are coming in nicely and will be good to putt on in a week or two after a couple of shorter cuts. Layout is relatively wide open off the tee even with most of the holes being a dogleg. You just have to take the right club off the tee depending on how much dogleg you are cutting off. Despite the initial confusion with a large group ahead playing off #10, we played at a decent pace (3.5 hrs) after pairing up with a single. The price compared to other courses around was a plus. We'll be back.

I really enjoyed this course. Fairways and greens are in good condition. Bathrooms along the course, small but nice club house. Staff is amazing. Thinking about joining a league at this course. Want to add that you can book a Tee time online now which is a huge plus for someone like me who books tee times during the hours the club house is closed.
The people playing this course have very little respect for it. they drive everywhere is wet amd do alot of damage. The coursre management needs more CPO DAYS nice people maybe to nice.
Nice local course; fairways green and well trimmed. Sand traps are a bit heavy but we've had a lot of rain. Greens have been aerated but are generally smooth and puttable. A fun course to play.
One of the worst courses I have ever played on! Way too over priced for an adult and a 14 year old. It was 28 dollars each for a course that is not in great shape. Greens were bumpy and rough. Tee boxes were in bad shape and some were just patches of grass. The fairway had a lot of divots and patches of sand. The shop and bathrooms were disgusting. Its called the \ Lakes Country Club \. Where's the lake? It was dried up. Not worth 56. They we supposed to give us a discount and charge us 21 bucks but instead didn't give us a discount at all. Sorry but I would play elsewhere next trip to Soutbport.
