As my wife's death was sudden, and we did not have a burial plan, as soon as her death was told, I looked online for someone to take care of her. Lankford was the first one to respond. So, within 8 hours, they had her situated, and her dad and I had arrangements taken care of. After her ashes were given to me, they still check in to make sure I am OK (I am). I would highly suggest them for anyone who is local and doesn't want to deal with a state/national chain.

Our beloved Quarter Horse, America's Starlite, had to be put down after almost three years of stoically dealing with suspensory ligament disorder. She was only 13 and otherwise healthy. It was a devastating decision. Thank God I had researched cremation as an option several years ago and had spoken with Cheryl Lankford at that time. When I contacted Cheryl, she was able to arrange everything within 24 hours. She understood that it was critical to us that Star be handled with dignity and love. She was there to collect Star's remains shortly after the veterinarian departed and was so professional and kind. We will never forget Cheryl's compassion and caring while helping us through this heartbreaking passage in our lives.

Darin, Cheryl, and the entire staff at Lankford were amazing during an unexpected and tragic time in our lives. From the first phone call at 2am to paperwork to our final goodbyes, I felt nothing but care and concern for our family as we planned out ways to honor my brother.
