We recently purchased a condo in Sarasota which needed plumbing repairs. We called LaPensee Plumbing from a referral from our realtor. They were very prompt and polite in getting a repair technician out to our condo. Great customer service. Pete the plumber came out and installed a new kitchen faucet, two new shower heads, and repaired one of our toilets. Pete did an excellent job and everything looks great! I highly recommend LaPensee Plumbing, Pool & Air for all of your home service repairs.

9-15-19 UPDATED: I can't leave another separate review, so I'm editing my original review and adding to it. We have been updating our condo, and have the occasion to work with LaPensee quite a lot the past few months. I want to again thank Lisa for her expertise in helping us pick out the most perfect shower items, kitchen sink, and faucet ( we had to get another faucet to fit our new granite counter configuration). I really appreciate her knowledge and how she went the extra mile for us! We love everything!!! Thanks Lisa! Also, I wanted to thank Jimmy for his expertise and professionalism in installing. He really is an expert in his field, and we appreciate him and the excellent work he did very much! We needed a new water controller for our outdoor shower. I asked for a new system but Scott informed me that replacement was a huge job and he could much more easily and quickly repair the existing one. He did, and it works perfectly. We have used LaPenses many times in the past and have been happy. However, it seems now that either they can't get enough help or the office staff is very inefficient. I have been trying since December 31 to get a date scheduled to have pipes replaced from house to street. It has taken numerous calls on my part to move the process forward....getting the camera scope, getting the estimate, getting a contract, getting a permit pulled...no step has been moved forward without me calling and saying "where are we with this”. Its now 2 months later and no work has been done yet nor has the work been scheduled. They have however had enough time to cash my check for the work. I will get through this process and switch to another company

I've owned my 50 year old island rental home with cast iron sewer pipe for 12 years. LaPensee has been out plenty of times to clear clogs. Recently a friend told me to get a video inspection, install a modern cleanout and "jet" the pipe. LaPensee had John and Peter on my job within a couple of days. I wish I had done this 12 years ago! The video showed that my pipe was intact, but loaded with 50 years of grease and rust scaling accumulation. They dug up the totally corroded cast iron connection and replaced it with a modern PVC cleanout (this will make any future clogs easy to take care of as we had to go in through roof vents before). Then they "jetted" the pipe with water pumped in at 2600 psi. The video inspection after this showed a huge improvement. John and Peter were there for 4hrs, answered all my questions and did a super neat job. See my pix. If your house is from the 1960s or earlier this is well worth considering (video inspection 250-300. Adding the PVC cleanout 250. Jetting the waste line to remove grease and rust 650).

Same day appointment to install a new garbage disposal. Tech was friendly, didn't try to sell me anything extra, did a great job and left the area clean. Highly recommend!!

I called LaPensee to replace a flange and toilet and the bill was 300, they charge by the half and quarter hour. The plumber was in no hurry to get the work done. He sat in his truck for for about 15 minutes before he finally came in the house to look at the job. Then he made back and forth trips to his truck 6 more times and finally sitting in the truck to write up the invoice. In other words, half of the time charged was more like killing time. The actual work took about 38 minutes. Definitely will not call on them again!
