To be sure, it's a long way from anywhere in all directions. And it has't really changed; there's a new boat, and the nice lady who lives in the ferry keepers house is 25 years older, but she ferried my Mom and Dad and I across in '93 and '94. She even still grows some beautiful Hollyhocks at her house. We crossed over this summer and headed on down to Geraldine and then to Lewistown. The farms and ranches of Chouteau and Fergus Counties are still as beautiful as ever. It made me sad to have been away for so long.

Great place to reflect on the past. To realize what our ancestors had to do to get anywhere. We came in the back way through Loma... Long dirt road through fields of wheat.
Fun drive to this ferry. Staff very friendly.
A fun ride! Easy day trip from Fort Benton. We drove out on dirt roads past ranches and farms, and went back to town on the highway.
Very scenic, really nice people
