Highly highly recommend Long and Foster vacation rentals for Smith Mountain Lake. Best prices for great properties, and a huge shout out to Debbie who gave excellent communications and coordination, and seamlessly resolved a couple complications that arose from my end. Could not ask for more gracious, proactive and helpful support. Will be returning to LF and Debbie for our next Smith Mountain Lake stays!!

Booking our vacation through Long and Foster with Debbie Aliff was absolutely seamless! She was very friendly and helpful from the moment we booked, paid for our stay, and she was extremely helpful in assisting us with the selection of a boat rental company near where we were staying. Our communication was so fluid that, as our trip approached, I felt very comfortable knowing that if we had any issues at all the Long and Foster staff would be ready to assist us. The rental was in a beautiful location, perfect condition, well labeled for visitors, and check-in /check out was a breeze. Long and Foster runs a tight ship! Thank you so much for the perfect vacation!

Do not rent from this establishment! I tried to book a lake house and they replied to me and said I was on their \do not return\ list. They said that I rented a home from them last year and their house cleaners said that it looked like we had a party. Mind you that when we checked in we realized the back deck was full of spider webs, cob webs and full of leaves. We actually swept off the deck and cleaned everything outside so we could enjoy the deck and didn't even complain about it. We were 6 people in their 30's and 40's consisting of financial advisors, accountants, teachers and medical professionals. We all take two to three trips per year together and I have always received 5 star reviews for my stays. I informed Long and Foster that their cleaning people must have lied to them to get paid more for the cleaning because I personally always do a final walk through on any rental because I'm proud of my 5 star rating. I asked for proof and they couldn't provide any. I then said they are just going to believe cleaning people that get paid more of they say there was a \party\ and the lady replied that I was on the do not return list and I told her not to worry that I would never book anything through them anyway. Terrible customer service!
The team at Long and Foster were wonderful. We had no issues to discuss at the rental property- I would highly recommend them!
