Mac's has always been a very nice place for a romantic dinner or just a casual gathering of friends. It set just at the south entrance of the historic grapevine main street. So a nice walk could be taken after dinner. The food is professionally prepared served by well trained staff. The prices are appropriately mid-range. Give them a try.

Recently we spent the afternoon in Grapevine & just had a fabulous time. Our group put on our thinking caps & started at The Grapevine Escape Game Room for fun. If you like solving puzzles, you have a choice of rooms to take on & try to \get out of\ in an hour. This attraction is lots of fun & one that should not be passed up. And speaking of a place that should NOT be passed up - go to Mac's On Main...now! This was our 1st time at this restaurant. Our dinner - at what I am sure is one of Grapevine's best restaurants was absolutely 100% great. We ordered the pork chops - which were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked - along with the fresh rainbow trout that was also seasoned and cooked to perfection. Suggest also giving the mac and cheese a taste. Wonderfully cheesy and delicious. For dessert we had the decadent white & dark chocolate cheese cake that was true to its name...oh so bad but oh so good. We ate and drank very well at this restaurant. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and atmosphere that we encountered. Just really love this place. Thumbs way up for this restaurant. We don't get to Grapevine much but I know where I will be stopping the next time we come thru town. Thank you Grapevine for a great afternoon/evening.
My new favorite place to eat. Food was great as were the drinks, the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed, not like a loud sport's bar type restaurant. I love love LOVE this place. This was our first time but not our last!
I was a regular at Mac's in South Arlington years ago. Glad to have them here in Grapevine. Had a great dinner with very good service. The atmosphere is a step up from most casual restaurants. Feels cozy and intimate even though it has plenty of tables.
VERY disappointed. First, the good points. Pleasant atmosphere overall. I did not go into the bar area but it looked nice. The staff was friendly and greeted me upon arrival. I was seated immediately. The down side. My waiter was a nice enough young man but disappeared for a long stretch after bringing me my drink and the bread. I waited and waited and waited until I finally flagged down another staff member and asked for her to find him. Upon receiving my meal I found the potatoes room temerature at best. I asked for them to warm them up but they brought me others instead that were a little better.The chicken fried steak was a little warmer but from the taste and appearance it was a frozen patty type product. I could be wrong but when you have to guess whart difference does it make. I had high hopes for this restaurant based upon some of the reviews. Everyones tastes are different but I was not impressed and won't be back.
